I am a poet

I write to understand the world, and I build to change it. Poems that honour the people history forgets to name — and software, machines and ventures that solve problems worth solving. Where ink meets code, that is where I live.

Chapter 01 — Who I Am

The Person
Behind the Name

Portrait of Siddhant Kumar, author of Guardians in the Gale
Siddhant Kumar — Delhi, India

The most honest version of a person lives in what they choose to create — and what they choose to question. I have tried to build my life around both.

I am Siddhant Kumar: an author, a poet, a software developer, a founder, and a student. My days are spent at the intersection of literature and logic — where a poem can carry the weight of an idea, and a line of code can carry the weight of a promise.

I write because writing is how I understand things honestly. I build software because building is how I test whether an idea survives contact with reality. I study history and geopolitics because perspective is the difference between opinion and judgement. None of these are separate lives; they are one curiosity wearing different clothes.

Discipline, to me, has never been a constraint. It is the structure that sets creativity free — the quiet hours, the daily pages, the projects finished rather than merely begun. I believe meaningful work is not an accident. It is a habit.

"Writing has always been my way of understanding the world more honestly."

And because many people share my name: this website is the home of the Siddhant Kumar who writes war poetry, founds student platforms, and builds terminals and robots — so that when you look for me, you find me.

  • The Writer

Words are my first language. Poetry taught me the economy of it — that one word, placed right, can hold what a paragraph cannot.

  • The Builder

I approach code the way I approach prose — with intention, structure, and care for the person on the other side of it.

  • The Student of History

Defence, geopolitics, strategy — I study how nations remember and forget, because memory is where my poems begin.

  • The Founder

Ideas deserve institutions. I start things — platforms, software, projects — and stay long enough to make them real.

Chapter 02 — Education

Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan

Delhi Cantonment — where discipline becomes character, and character becomes destiny.

APS Dhaula Kuan is less an institution than a crucible. It demands precision of thought, steadiness under pressure, and the quiet strength that comes from structure. It is here I learned the rhythm of disciplined effort — how showing up consistently, reading widely and thinking carefully compounds into something remarkable.
